The club normally houses 2m and 70cm repeaters and some other on-air systems at the water tower in Elizabeth South. These have been off air for some time due to access issues at the tower. We are currently exploring the use of an alternate site at the Boral Quarry. There is no current time-line for the repeaters returning to air. We will be testing the proposed site with low power beacons initially.
The beacons were co-located with the repeaters and have suffered the same fate. We have been offered use of the AREG remote receiver site but favour using our proposed new repeater site if the water tower remains unavailable. AS with the repeaters, there is no time-line at present. There re-activation will be announced on the WIA broadcast.
